2009 MHS XC Team

This year we have an excellent crew, we are not only returning the top 7, but the entire crew. Our captains this year are: Stephen McQuaid, Nolan Allen, Mike Bryant, and Dan Loveland. We also have a solid group of Juniors and underclassmen who hope to be in the front this season. Our coach is Mr. Downin.

2008 Yearbook Write-up

The Marlboro High Boys Cross Country Team’s season was one of great promise. With no seniors on the squad this year, the team was led by a strong pack of Juniors and Sophomores featuring the likes of Junior Captians Mike Bryant, Steve McQuaid, and Nolan Allen. Also among the top runners critical to the integrity of the team were Juniors Dan Loveland, Mike “The Fly” Mosca, Sophomore Hayden Voss, and Freshmen Jon Perry and Matt Zinck. Following a victory early on in the season of obtaining sweats before leagues, the team was on a roll. They performed well against Gardner beating them by one place. This team effort set the pace for the rest of the season. This marked the first victory against the always strong wildcats in over 10 years! Coach Downin set a goal at the first day of practice to score under the mark of the previous year’s team at the end of the season district meet. The Panthers were able to score 46 places better with their young Varsity squad which will return all 7 next year. We hope to shoot for states next year, with a healthy and strong crew capable of the impossible dream.
