  • Always listen to Coach Downin
  • If you do something wrong the first time its alright, try never to do it again
  • Wear Good RUNNING Shoes
  • Always wear long pants (sweats, warm-ups, windpants, what ever you wish to call them). It doesn't matter if its 80 or 10 degrees wear them before and after you run.
  • If it is cold wear a sweatshirt
  • Drink lots of water
  • Never walk during a race. If you hurting a lot (meaning fatigued, not injured) slow down your jog, always try to not walk, it will show your effort.
  • A small track bag is a good idea to bring to hold belongings, it will also protect them from rain and dirt.
  • Spandex (compression shorts) are a good idea under the uniform bottoms. The under armour ones are good
